This is my third Invicta watch. I bought two Invictas from Amazon in 2008, an Invicta Men's 9816 Lupah Collection Chronograph Watch (I bought black and red bands for it and have never worn it with the yellow band), and about six months later an Invicta Men's 5249W Pro Diver Stainless Steel White Dial Watch. I've had no problems with either watch. Each keeps accurate time and draws many compliments. (I paid $61.16 for the Lupah and $49.99 for the Pro Diver.)I think it's unfortunate that Invicta chooses to market their watches with grossly inflated list prices (unfortunate because it's an insult to consumers' intelligence). Upon opening the box I noticed the great looking, what appears to be a racing influenced, easy to read, dial layout. Initially I assumed there was no luminescence but was pleasantly surprised to see that all the accents in red glowed the typical light green in the dark, even the red accents on the tight, no play, unidirectional rotating bezel. The white hour marker accents on the bezel do not glow in the dark. Love the glossy black insert in the bezel, it fits very much in with the racing inspired dial.Noticed that the chronograph second hand was not perfectly centered on the 12. Having had previous experience with this I knew it was an easy recalibration but only had to find out what kind of movement was inside. The back of the watch lists the movement as Swiss Parts, which means the parts were produced in Switzerland and probably assembled somewhere in Asia. You can get a watch that works well and is really inexpensive, but screams "this dude is too cheap to buy a decent watch." Others scream just as loudly "this guy has more money than good sense." This Invicta doesn't have to scream - it just says "here's someone with good sense and good taste."OK, so maybe you don't care what your watch says about you, you just want a great watch. This one is a traditional analog display with clear markings, easy to read. The red color on the hands as well as some of the other red marking is a striking contrast to the black dial. The watch has some serious heft to it, it's not some lightweight wannabe. The band has brushed steel finish on the sides of the bands and a polished steel running through the middle of it, very attractive. The band is generously sized and looks like it can be adjusted pretty easily, but I haven't tried that.
