When I first looked at this watch, an uncontrolled utterance of 'WOW' whispered out of my mouth. It is absolutely attractive in the same way as it would be seeing a magnificent jet fighter plane. Sleekness. Sophistication. The minutes hand dial, the seconds, and the days are in smaller circles inside the larger hour circle. Together they make time look complex, as it should be.I'm not much into bling. Usually I don't wear a watch, since I have a mobile phone, which shows me the time. Every time--no pun intended--I wear it, I get some reaction from people around me; commenting what a great looking watch it is. I suppose it's a conversation starter, as well. Aside from the wow-looks of this timepiece, there are real functional elements to it. Most surprising is how quickly you can set time for chronometer purposes using the rotating outer-dial. There isn't always a lot of great design to choose between with men's watches. We see the metal banded watches everywhere, but they always look so plain and void of any effort to make a statement. I love the black band down the metal of this watch because it just makes all the difference in showing you're making an effort to be more than average, a little stylish in a quiet, still "manly" way. The watch has great weight to it. Heavier than expected because frankly I'm used to the cheap hollowed out metal band watches. These bands are solid, definitely, you'll feel it. I'm not into watches but I wear them most of the time, mainly as a semi-fashion statement and partly because I don't want to take out my Windows Phone every time I want to check the time. (Yes, I'm a tad obsessed with keeping track of time.) When I took this watch out of the box, I was immediately struck by how "manly" it looked. It felt very solid (read: heavy) in the hand, and the metallic design really screamed "I'm a man's best friend!"The design overall, though, is not the best, and the watch face feels busy with too many things. But on my wrist, it looks manly, and makes me feel like a man all over again. (Ok, I've never had problems with my manhood, so don't take it the wrong way.) Seriously, I have to say this is a very good watch for the price... so much so even though I got this as a review sample from the Vine program, I bought another for my dad.
