My husband has quite the watch fetish (he gave up his other more expensive fetishes, thank goodness). This particular addition to his collection is the equivalent of adding a black turtleneck to his wardrobe. It goes with anything and is stylish - yet not overstated.The curved glass and white on black presentation is pleasant. The large analog dial is easy to read under the most trying conditions (like during exercise). The size (large) also catches the eye. In addition, the sizeable hands and numbers and luminous dial make reading the watch in low light (and no light) a breeze. Yet the biggest plus for the watch is that it is very light weight relative to its size. This is a big watch. The weight, however, is equivalent to a much smaller watch (less than his TAG sport and about the same as his digital Casio multiband solar watch). This a great watch. It is a bit oversized but it looks great on my wrist. If I had to describe this watch in one word, it would be BIG! That's not a bad thing. I can read the nice large letters on this watch without my glasses and the stem is big enough that it's very easy to grip. Even though it is big, I find it very comfortable.This is definitely a quality watch... not quite up there with a Rolex (but neither is the price!). The case is carbon fiber with a nice matte black finish. The dial features large white numbers and is covered by a heavy curved crystal (which probably makes it even easier to read). The wristband is a thick heavy rubber (and probably accounts for most of the watch's weight). This band should last a long time. If you're looking for a large watch in this price range, give this a look. |
