When I received this watch my initial impression was that it was excessively huge for a woman. It seemed better designed for a man's wrist. However, I've come to appreciate this watch as a piece to add a bit of pizazz to a relatively simple outfit. While it can command positive attention in the right circumstances, I wouldn't consider it suitable as an everyday watch.What I found lacking about the watch: 1) The watch is very difficult to have sized. It took me seven hours over the course of several days to get this thing sized. I went to three jewelers that each sold a wide assortment of watches and was told by each that they lacked the tool to size the watch. I was told to take it back to my Invicta retailer. Invicta's site lacks a retailer listing so I went to google and searched for "invicta+retailer" and came across a forum where people were trying to find retailers to get their watch sized. I ended up at J.C. Penney and they sized the watch. 2)... I am posting a photo that illustrates my comparison with a similar looking watch, a Dolce and Gabanna that was many times the price. As you can see, they have a similar look. In person, with the exception of the snooty D&G label, these watches are similar in quality. My D&G has more features, but I want to make the point that this is similar quality-wise. This watch is heavy without being clunky. It feels luxurious on the wrist. It is missing a star because the jacked up 'retail' price is pretty inflated. Under two hundred, it's a good value. This Invicta Women's 1161 Ceramics Collection Round Watch is indeed a very beautiful women's watch. Once I got past the sporty yellow plastic box it comes in, I was delighted to find such a lovely time piece.The pretty white ceramic case and bracelet with 18K yellow gold plate is tastefully casual with a subtle touch of class. There is nothing gaudy about it. I live in Florida and my lifestyle is full-time casual. I have several dressy watches but I needed a more practical one...a watch I could dress up or down; a waterproof watch I could wear every day, every where, in every activity from the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico to my kitchen sink. I was very excited to be getting this Invicta Women's 1161 Ceramics Collection Round Watch to review. However, my excitement quickly dissipated when I actually took the watch out of its yellow box.
