I was concerned the watch would be too large for my very thin wrists, but not at all, it looks and fits perfectly. I recognize this is not a high end watch, but at its regular price of $325, I'd say it is not worth it, simply because of its "Dial window material type." If you're going to pay $325, might as well shell out another $75 for a watch "dial window" made of sapphire, literally un-scratchable case. This watch is mineral, not as strong or scratch resistant. I haven't scratched it yet, but i know it's a matter of time. I decided on the black rubber instead of the metal clasp because of its sporty look and because metal clasps need adjustments, and i wanted to wear it right out of the box. I especially like the rubber over the steel strap as I am hairy and the hairs often get caught in between metal joints. The rubber gives it a neutral-to-sporty look.I battled with this blue model #241410 and the black models #241343 and #241412. I bought this blue model #241410 and glad I made the right color choice. The blue face gives it a nice contrast to the steel and black rubber and the luminous hands and markers stand out. I use this everyday: lap swimming, gym, casual and even office look. No, I won't use it for scuba. The manual says not for scuba diving. This is my second Swiss Army Summit XLT watch. My first one was the Classic Summit XLT Model 24004--I changed the steel strap to rubber--which I bought in late 2006. My dad now has this old Classic Summmit XLT. Past warranty but no issues. |
