I never submerged the watch in water at any time. After about a week being set in sun to dry, it went back to normal. Wear an Invicta swimming at your own risk! "Waterproof"? At the end of 6 months the metal watch strap fell apart. Cheap pins just fell out. Watch just fell off my wrist. Because of my previous water problems with the watch, I decided to send it in for "Warranty Repair". I went on line to Invicta to get instructions. I was horrified to learn that Invicta requires buyers to pay and include a $28.00 payment to Invicta to get warranty repair!!! The $28.00 is ON TOP OF the cost to package, purchase postage and insurance to return the watch to... Other reviewers of the 9212/9211 models have said Invicta is producing a newer version that isn't as good as the older watches. This watch seems to have the features Invicta removed from the Invicta Men's 9212 Speedway Collection Chronograph S Watch and Invicta Men's 9211 Speedway Collection Chronograph Watch.The gold sections look more coppery than the photos on Amazon. The gold center stripe is quite thin and will wear through with heavy use. The bezel is 44mm wide. Some other Invicta watches from Amazon have been smaller than advertised. This one isn't. I like the feel of it. The price is great on it too. Only thing I will say about this watch is that you need to order the Invicta watch tool. Jewelers will not be able to adjust the links on the watch band. Other than that, it is all good. |
